An African Aid Convoy- Objective For FoF
« on: December 21, 2012, 05:13:41 PM »
This year I have been working on some stuff for my Force on Force campaign, set in the Imagi-Nation of Zugando, a war-torn West African hell hole. The Neo-Communist People's Resistance Army have clashed with Government forces and a coalition made up of US, UK and African Union forces.

I thought that it might be cool to have a few trucks carrying aid, which would make great objectives for various missions, as the PRA rebels try to capture aid convoys etc.

I toy bashed a couple of toy trucks I bought from Tescos and Sainsburys, adding pleanty of stowage.

Here's a shot with a couple of 28mm TAG figures- to give you an idea of scale.

The cargo comes out, so I can use it as a piece of terrain too.

Let me know what you think.
Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/
And for Ultra-modern Wargaming check out Hotel Zugando at http://ultramoderngaming.blogspot.co.uk/

Maybe a little too well maintained looking for Africa...    ;)

Damned nice painting on those.   Great job.

Very nice PJs, but as the Captain said, a bit more wear and tear would add to the realism.
Also I think there's not enough stowage :

 lol lol lol

Seriously though, what you might consider is adding some sandplates.
I'd guess these are rather common over there.

The figures are by The Assault Group, otherwise known as TAG

I really rate these figures, as they are well cast and nice to paint. Scale wise they are the same as Copplstone, Wargames Foundry etc- what I call 'Nottingham' scale.

Nice work that man!

Those FoF scenarios often ask for things that don't grace my collections, like african cows and UN aid workers.

And Somali civilians!

I've seen trucks like that in Tesco's (not delivering) I'll have to shell out a few quid and get some.

Good effort again!

I remeber days in Hamburg, when the subway was also filled...

Nice looking trucks.
Weathering and dust on them are quite convincing.

Could you please  tell me, who is making these trucks?
