Hi Guys!

So, to keep up with everyone else that has posted, I thought I would too. I haven't finished the whole set, focusing on the Goblins at first before moving on to much else (i've just finished 2 dwarves though!).

Anywho, here we go!

All painted with the most recent Citadel Colour range.

Excellent work, Mr Alderman. It's uncanny how much the Bilbo mini does actually look like Martin Freeman, or maybe it's your superior painting! As I've intimated elsewhere I've pretty much made up my mind to get hold of the Goblins at some point as I actually quite like the look of 'em. Of course seeing the film is a priority, too!

Very nice! Even though I'm not a fan of the whitish goblins there is no denying that you have done a great job on them. Way better than GW...

Wow Rob! These are truly outstanding mate.  :-*

Very nicely done. These goblins look better than GW's studio models and the Goblin King is a real standout there.

Awesome job Rob! Please keep sharing. :)

Thankyou guys! Very kind comments indeed!

I really like the way GW painted theirs, if you see them in person, they are stunning. Very talented painters! I imagine they used what source material was available to them, most likely concept art! In the film, the goblins take a sickly yellow hue rather than the pinky white of the painted miniatures. I chose to use sepia as a base-tone rather than a flesh wash.

Anywho, they are great fun to paint and I am working my way through Thorin's company! I have a few days off to spend with my parents over xmas so I won't be getting anything done unfortunately!

The brownish goblins look much better than the GW pink ones!

Spot on, that man!

Hate the concept of them as LotR goblins, but you have persuaded me, with your fine brushwork, that I need some of those goblins for other uses.

The rest of the bunch are just as lovely.

Top painting!
