A selection of pulp figures
« on: December 26, 2012, 07:12:36 AM »
Greetings Folks, I've been busy painting for the past few days and amongst a bunch of zombies and geezers I also painted up a few of my long list of pulp figures.

Where's Clutcher?

More 1800's that pulp but they still fit in (sort of).
O'Mally's Fire troop
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Nicely done! Will any of these folks be visiting your Kong setting?

No. None of these folks are going to meet the king of the jungle.
However, I was given this big 4'x4' sheet of acrylic impregnated cardboard and it look, to me, that it might just tun into a tramp steamer over the next few months.

Unfortunately Kong has been put on hold for the moment as my gaming club is on it's holiday break. Although I am trying to con a couple of friends and their kids into spending a night on the Mysterious Island in the New year whilst the ladies gossip and sip wine in the lounge room. :D

I also did these guys at the same time as those above. They are from Eureka and even though they lack some of the detail of other figures they have a fantastic look of utter stupidity. I'm calling them Doug and Dinsdale - The Piranha Brothers.

Lovely work, Melnibonean.
I really like the way your colours come out so vivid, especially the deeper blues and reds.

Not at all familiar with the Piranha Brothers, but they do look like a great pair of characters.

These are some cool looking characters. And your paint job gave them even more character.

Well done!
