New Eureka 28mm French wagon
« on: December 28, 2012, 10:48:14 AM »
I received a new parcel of releases today which included a couple revolutionary wars items.

There's a French 2 horse civilian wagon which consists of a front axle set with 2 small wheels which fits in a lug on the main body, allowing the wagon to steer/turn. The main wagon bed and rear axle are one piece with 2 separate large wheels. The wagon body consists of 4 parts and the whole is like a half barrel shape in cross section. I had a little trouble making the parts sit right and I think the locating lugs for the long sides are slightly out. Nothing that can't be fixed by the looks with a little removal of the locating lugs and positioning correctly. Overall size of the main wagon body is 62mm long, 18mm wide wagon bed, and overall height to top of sides about 33mm. Casting and detailing is neat and crisp.

They also released a guillotine set. I requested NOT to get the guillotine or any of the beheaded figures, they just don't have any place in my collection. I did however want the regular rabble. There are 7 of these figures, 3 female, 4 male. As per all the WFR range, the males are exactly 28mm eye height, the females vary a little. Detailing is neat and crisp as you'd expect from this range. I can't tell you anything about the guillotine or the headless nobles, no doubt someone will post pics soon enough.

Figures are not officially released yet, I can't tell you when. As always an email to one of the distributors should get you a quick answer.
