Looking for a 50-60's Pulp Rule set
« on: December 29, 2012, 09:58:02 AM »
Hi all

Were looking to play a James Bond type Pulp Skirmish game and was wondering what rule sets work for a 1950-60's set skirmish type Pulp game preferably with a campaign system that allows your team to develop, any suggestions or rules to avoid?

Ive played Bond and other 60's tv series avengers the saint etc using 7tv but the new pulp alley is worth a look for a true pulp style both are very good but different styles .Both have lots of reports on here and the pulp alley has a very active blog and yahoo group .

Check out Crooked Dice and their 7TV series of rules.

The rules of choice appear to be 7TV and Pulp Alley.

I don't have 7TV rules, so can't comment on them, but Pulp Alley has everything you asked for and more.

There are several AARs floating in this forum, all action packed to the last die roll.

Highly reccommended.

Hope that helps.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

I think you'd like our Pulp Alley game. It allows you to make your own unique league and develop them using experience gained throughout scenarios. It can also be used in just about any setting or time period. We actually play our games around the time period you're talking about. Whatever you choose I hope you have a lot of fun! :D

Whilst being a fan of both Pulp Alley and 7tv on this occasion I'd have to go for 7tv because it's specifically designed for 60's spy scenarios.

Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.
