...
As said on Firesign Theatre, 'it's been such a long exposition', but have you started anything on the fore section?
...

Will the forecastle/cottage/bridge be on a derrick/turret arrangement, so the Great Beast can turn its head?
...

My question referred to the sketch; are you planning on carrying the Crystal Palace motif forward? As I've said before, skepticism has been killed too oft in the past to push the issue.  ::)

Well, that's all right then!

Right, like there was actually a question...  lol

Hi Doug.

Yes. Both the mansion section and the bridge will have glass barrel-vault roofs.

Given that the engine room's roof has over a thousand rivets and is significantly smaller than the mansion will be, I'm preparing myself.

I have some other very ambitious ideas regarding these elements, but I don't want to publish them yet, because things may change as the machine develops.

I expect to start the msnsion soon, and the bridge in maybe a year!

Lovely side galleries. Now the scale of the thing is really beginning to take shape.

Yes. And I haven't seen my dining table for a while.

I hate to throw a spanner in the works! Seeing your sketch, would the whole thing not be better on tracks? You might have to change your thread name mind you! It could be 'the biggest ever landship' or 'the biggest ever tank'?

Its going to look amazing either way mind you! :-* :-* :-* :-*

Frankly, tracks or wheels would be far too easy. Where's your sense of adventure, chaps? I've spent a lot of brain ache contemplating how on earth I'm going to do the legs...

And I like walkers.

Nice try though!

And, when finished, it could BE your dinner table.
