What colour should I paint the uniform, navy or white? Or a mix of both?

The Naval Brigade in the First Suakin Campaign (1884) was all in blue, wearing their caps with white covers.


Second Suakin Campaign (1885) had them in blue jerseys, white trousers and straw sennet hats.


The Desert Column is a bit more problematic. I don't have any hard data, and the artistic depictions vary wildly:

All in blue, straw sennet hat, red arm-band.
All in white, white helmets with blue pagris.
All in blue, white helmets, no pagris.
All in white, white helmets, no pagris.


I am afraid I have no information to hand about what the Naval Brigade of The River Column wore.
