Seperate crossbows?
« on: January 13, 2013, 12:33:26 PM »
Who sells good crossbows? Metal or plastic.  I am looking for some to add to larger 28mm figures so I think the likes of Essex may be a little small?

I used to have some GW ones, four on a cross shaped sprue, but cannot find them.  Where would these have been from? and are they still available?

Don't think GW currently produce such a sprue, but traditionally the armies using crossbows would be Empire, Dwarfs or Dark Elves. There were some orcs with crossbows but as far as I remember they were only available in metal.

GW dwarf quarrellers use crossbows. In my recollection their arms or hands are attached to the bows though. If you want I can have a look in the bit box.

There is a chunky crossbow on the "Mordheim Adventurers" sprue with the lantern weapons etc... and a plastic treasure chest :)

I have all of the plastic crossbows I took off of the old Orcs I converted into Pirates - I could probably send those to you for a pittance.
