Excellent stuff, excellent! Good thing I wasn't having a drink while I read thie 'Pink Baron' throught the first time, or I'd be sending you a bill for a new keyboard, old chap!

I just worry that you're going to have a hard time topping yourself - you've got a fair number of shadows still on that club photograph!

That's a good point, actually. I think this was probably the best one. If I had any sense I would have left it till last. But it was ready to go, and none of the others were. I don't have long thought-out stories for all of them, some of them are just one-joke ponies. Others aren't particularly humorous at all, rather just an excuse to make a model plane that I like.

So don't get your hopes up. It all gets worse from here!  :)

Hilarious.  And ingenious to see the similarity between the two figures.

I am contemplating making a printout of the dagerotype to the right and keep it as a french card in my bottom drawer.

Actually, there wasn't that much of a similarity to begin with (except for the pose, of course). I added sideburns and extended the moustache curls of the Turkish figure with putty to make him resemble the other fellow a bit more. Sharp-eyed LAFers will also notice that Lothar gains about a foot in height when he takes his clothes off.

Which is a neat trick, if you can pull it off.  :)

Originally I had planned to headswap an identical head on to the Turk. But I wanted to keep the hat. That made me scratch my head as it was all beginning to assume the proportions of a hassle, so I went the Milliput 'tache and burns' route, instead.

I could easily believe this is the best one, but somehow I suspect there are even bigger aces up your sleeve.

The painting is really great on that Albatross.
