My take on the new 1st Corps motorcycles
« on: October 18, 2012, 12:56:54 PM »

The observant among you will notice a Woodbine head transplant. Interesting models to deal with. A trifle fiddly to build. The vehicles themselves are a bit large for 28mm. The figure in the side car behind the Vickers MG does not fit happily in the alloocated space. You see his legs dangling a bit and I had to crowbar him in to fit in the space between the back of the seat and the Vickers. The gauntlets of the riders are cast onto the handlebars. Bending them to fit correctly onto the rider leaves an ugly space that, were I to do these again, I would fill with greenstuff. Despite these problems these figures are a useful addition to the canon of WW1 and interwar figures available.

Nice work!
 :-*

I have been looking at these since they were released.

It is nice to be made aware of possible pitfalls, as it lessons the impact and frustration when you are prepared for it.

I still want them, though!

Very nice! I have a small force of Brits in tropical kit for WW1/interwar action, and I'm going to have to pick up one or two motorbikes when I get around to expanding my Brit forces.

Nice to see someone finally doing motorbikes, even if the models do have a few issues.

Love your brush work old boy...

Any chance of a few pics encompassing the whole lot of your WW1 collection?
