Empress. More ECW cavalry

Charging with pistols, the traditional tactic of the Royalist cavalry. Ideal for both early and late war.

I just think there is something "off" with this range, can't really put my finger on it though...

The proportions are more realistic (less 'stocky' figures) IMHO. If I would start over with ECW, I'd probably choose this range. I've got one of their artillery pieces to see how they fit in with Renegade/Redoubt/Bicorne.

Amazing sculpting.  You would swear you were looking at 54mm scale miniatures.

How do Empress' ECW range size up next to other ranges? The Empress figures I have from their others ranges are quite tiny

These are quite tall by comparison to the Empress Zulu War range.
About the same height as Bicorne and Renegade ECW, but less beefy, more slimline.
A lot taller than Perry / Foundry and TAG
Warlord metals also tend to the smaller end of things - but some of their figures are taller so they're a bit harder to pigeonhole.

When I first looked at them, the figures looked a bit off. After looking at them again
would tend to think that most other figures, are a bit off.
I think that they are more realistic than we usually are use to seeing.
I like them a lot.

I agree, the horses are breathtaking!
