As announced yesterday
on our blog, the 1:72 scale version of Pz. Befehlswagen I ausf. B is already being produced, with the aim to have it released by Salute 2013.
This is to be a mixed resin + plastic kit, consisting of 4 resin main parts (hull, "box" superstructure and both sides' sets of tracks & wheels), complimented by an optional dome allowing the tank to be built either as used in Spain, or in the later WWII version. Upper hatchets are also provided --both open and close--, as well as an also optional stowage box to be placed behind the superstructure.
Besides, two optional plastic parts will allow the user to build the model as a regular fighting Pz I Ausf. B --being those same used for our all-plastic Pz I Ausf. A.
I haven't resisted the temptation to build and paint the very first production samples I had been delivered for validation --hence the first and fourth photos depicting two already primed AFVs, then.
It should be noted that the stowage items that can be seen on mudguards (spare wheel and toolbox on the command tank; helmet, rifle and oil can on the regular one) are not included in the kit itself, but come from my own spares box. As for the crewman, it is just the crude prototype of that one to be ultimately included in our plastic T-26 sprue.
Cheers,
Lluís
