While I'm always glad to see more miniatures come out - these are pretty bad.  Or I suppose I should say...rather underwhelming.  Nothing about them makes me want to go and buy them.   Shame, as I remember that Kickstarter.

So when are we Kickstarters getting ours?
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

From TMP

Quote
Ainsty Castings releases the first of their Weird West miniatures range - six 28mm white-metal miniatures, sculpted by Ian Mountain.

This range was born from an Indiegogo campaign which ran last year. Ainsty have acquired these prior to the launch, and will be sending out all of the campaign pledges over the next two weeks. All those who contributed to the campaign shall receive their minis shortly.

For the rest of you, these are now available to buy for £7.50 GBP for each set of three, or £14.00 GBP for all six.

These are really nice. All of them I would find useful. I like the zombie the most.

I backed this and must say I am fairly shocked that the backers paid over the odds for the minis, to get all 6 minis cost a backer $65 and you can now get them for £14? I'm I readint that right, there seems to be something very wrong with that!

Our plan when we ran the IndieGoGo campaign was to sell them for a much higher price -- more in line with what you see from places like Otherworld Miniatures and Crooked Dice. Ian Mountain, our sculptor, has done miniatures for both of those companies so that felt like a reasonable way to price the miniatures. Ainsty does casting, distribution and now owns the figures -- so they can afford to offer them at a lower price than we would have been able to.

So if I'm understanding this right, someone was prepared to pay you $10 a figure?   :?

This IndieGoGo campaign was done by someone who lives near me and was going on at the same time: http://www.indiegogo.com/darkpotential/x/219445
The finished miniatures are available for sale here: http://www.darkpotential.com/miniatures/product.php?catid=1480&id=24582

I think Ainsty has an outstanding deal for 6 of Ian Mountain's sculpts. :)

If I paid $65 up front for $35 worth of miniatures I'd be pretty pissed off...
