Cheap Sci Fi APC
« on: January 23, 2013, 08:19:24 AM »
eBay comes up with the goods:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pull-String-Wind-up-Plastic-Tank-Playing-Toy-for-Children-/330838404101?pt=AU_Toys_Hobbies_Powered_Toys&hash=item4d07816c05

Might need a little bit (!) of work but I think it's a good start! Cheap, too.

Pic doesn't work, (also does not show up on Ebay), but searching Ebay with the title of the aution brings up plenty of them.

Certainly looks like a nice base for an APC. I'm curious about the size though.
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Hmm... pity about that!

I'll fix the picture at least. The pic on the website has someones hand holding the APC, so it looks good. Unless it is the hand of a child. Then it might be problematic :)

Yeah; when I saw it on the thumbnails, I thought it was some sort of sensor dome, but when you see the full picture, the true, hideous practices of those militairy commanders become apparent.

I mean; I knew about making flowers grow inside a bottle, and there was this internet hoax about kittens in a jar, but here is proof that those crewmen actually are interred into their small vehicles at age 3, and only get to open the hatch when they're adults and too big to get out.

Now that's being tied to the job... lol

I wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to pull the cord and run over my opponent's figures :D

Hmm. It has stickers instead of printed markings, which says PP or PE to me, which says it won't take paint and glue well, or at all. If you plan to do anything else besides putting it on the table as it is, you should probably leave it.

There is a whole range of these small vehicles out there. They cost almost nothing.

7 months ago I was very tempted to buy a lot of them and make a small battle.  lol

That's because he doesn't like any of them. :)
