« on: January 25, 2013, 02:30:09 PM »
I've knocked together some simple stat cards for my A.L. units using Bolt Action rules.

Very nice - the cards, but also the models of course!

How did you turn them into images if you don't mind me asking a tech question? I was planning on doing the same with cards for GASLIGHT, and some bits of stuff for playaids relating to my VSFery, but can't work out how to turn them into images... am I being dense, or is it complicated?

I created them using MS word and saved a copy as a .pdf file.  I then opened the PDF using adobe acrobat ( free) and highlighted the area I wanted with the camera tool. This copies the image. You can then paste the image into most paint programmes ( I use photoshop). A couple of tips:
When you save your original doc as a .pdf make sure it is set for "print quality" otherwise the PDF will be low-res.
When you highlight the area to copy in adobe acrobat make sure you zoom in first otherwise the image you copy will be small!

Hope that helps

Ah, thanks Pappa... that might do it. I have two machines and one has an older version of word where that's not an option - but I can do it on this machine! Hurrah!
