Mongols With Mausers: The Ghost Market
« on: February 10, 2013, 04:16:58 AM »
Every March I run a few rounds of my "Mongols With Mausers" Back of Beyond game at the HotLead Convention in Stratford, Ontario, Canada. The subtext is "Battle, bluff or bribe your way to victory along the Silk Road in 1920's China". Inspired by a recent film, I'm working on a Ghost Market. As a work in progress, I'd like to share a few photos.

An overview of the Long Bang brothers and their fireworks stock. The guards of the Ghost Market survey the situation from their elevated walkway.

This is a no smoking establishment!

Nothing escapes the icy gaze of the Ghost Market Militia!

Lovely miniatures and terrain. I remember that old mini on the bridge (orange shirt/brown vest), he is an old preslotta Citadel "Buccaneer".

Great stuff,

Stavros:

The two grey ones with all the ropes on the outside are from the Steve Barber Models Mongols range. The other ones are from the Old Glory Cossack Wars range. Its nice to have a variety to avoid the "row housing" look to the village.

I've seen you put on Mongols with Mausers the past few years.
Always one of the more interesting looking games.
Maybe this year I'll give it a go.
Yearly painting challenges only show me how useless I am at painting...
