My wife & I crossed a very long bridge on Rhodes which crossed a small stream!
She wanted to know why (long bridge, small stream)?????
The answer was it gets most of its rain in two weeks. Then it is a wide river.

Others are canal setups or where it's more that there's marsh that spreads out from the banks, so a lot of the buildings are built further back with more expendable structures built down along the banks themselves.

indeed, i'll make a large river, maybe with epoxy, but if it's to much i'll use the glue technic.

in this precise case, the bridge is 160 meters long, for 5m wide, as the model was going to be too big, I adapted the dimensions. Otherwise it is indeed a very long bridge.

Here is the progress of this Sunday, I wanted to engrave the remaining stones but it will be for this week, the structure is almost finished anyway.

Hi all;

I have advanced the size of the stones, and the first coat of paint! I also started the structure of the plinth and of what borders the bridge.

Final assembly before painting!

In 3 steps:

-gluing of the set

-implementation of a layer of cob to simulate the mud and solidify the bases

-sanding

Great work  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*  :-*
Really like how it is coming together
What are you doing for a railing the bridge looks a bit bare without anything

Hello !

Thank you, it is not finished yet but I will try to give as much realism as possible.

indeed it is empty in the current state of things, but there will be the barriers and the candelabra at the end, as well as 2 sculptures in the center of the bridge (as on the real one).

the barriers and candelabras are visible in the last photo.

here is the progress with the painting little by little:

several shades of brown and green (seaweed) for the river bed
several brown and black washes for the rest of the building and the road

To be continued: last masonry, paint touch-ups, water in epoxy resin and vegetation (3 small work sessions normally)
