Hi !

Thank's for comments, that motivates me a lot !! :p

Here are the last part of the forteresse under construction.

It's 2 walls and 2 small towers wich will be artillery position.

These towers are made differently that the others, it's a single block sanded and sculpted.

Just wait that the glue dries and go for ending and painting !

KAW! An artillery position as well? Very nice. Will you need to make the gun too Lapin?

I like the painted castle gate so far. Keen to see you place it all together when finished!

Cheers
Matt

No :p i think it's for bowmen pack, trebuchet or gun. The final owner will do what he wants :)

A good chunk of my bookshelves are weighed down by books on castles but I'd far rather look at your work than go to them for inspiration.

:p  books on castle allows me to have this result, and visiting castle too. But thank you very much ! i try to have the most real possible final effect.

here is the installation of all the elements.
some details, a remake of one wall and let's go for painting.

when the paint will be over, i'll go for woodwork and roof.

The  barbican will coming after with the stone bridge.

Yes it oesmake me want a castle as well, but there is no way I could store something as magnificent (BIG) as this one (never mind the effort/skill/time involved).
However what about a 'low relief' version of the gateway? Yeah, I might be able to squeeze that in. Note to self, 'Start taking notes from this article'.

I really was quite pleased seeing this castle you are building.  I admire your work.  Would you share your technique for making the brick/stone work detail on the surfaces of the walls and towers?

Hi all,

a long time without post, but let me show you the advencement !

The hourds are finished, just some details to finish completly before painting.

I'm making the roof but this is very difficult because of the structure, so i'm making all the skeletons in balsa...

The roof of the hourds will be not removable, but those of the roofs will be !
