SCW armoured bus
« on: February 02, 2013, 11:04:34 PM »
Hello!

My first attempt to paint a vehicle in 1:56 scale. Bus for my anarcho-syndicalists militia.

I love that model. Empress, right? Great work on it too.

I really need to dig mine out, give it a proper paint-job...and find a use for it. Post-appocaliptic perhaps...hmm.

Nice job, but I really can't see anarchists wishing Lenin a long life.

Great job on the weathering and I like the paint drips!  :-*

Besides 'Lenin', is there a reason why 'frente popular' is in English, besides that it's on a CNT/FAI flag anyway?  :?

Good weathering and paint runs though, I like it.  :)

Nice work on the model but this post made me laugh.

@ OP - you might want to do a wee bit of research on the period. I highly recommend Anthony Beever's Battle for Spain (particularly the revised edition)

Its a fantastic period to game, have fun

There were some real 'Flash Gordon' style vehicles knocking about. If you've got a few hours to spare this blog has photos of a fair few of them and lots of other stuff besides. It's in Spanish, but you're only going to look at the pictures any way.

 ;)

Nice job painting the bus. Love the photographs too. Will be doing a SCW game in the man cave in the next sevral weeks and will try to get some decent photos. It will look like Madrid only if you have never been there lol
