IHMN the state of the castings????
« on: May 19, 2013, 07:18:45 AM »
OK looked forward to the miniatures and read a few comment on here about some of the castings i got the Chard set yesterday from Triples and  was  not happy, chards gun broken off, Singh had a mould line the size of a fighting fish fan on his head and would  be  hard to remove, 2 guys  rifles were miscasts no ends on the  rifles at all, one gius shot gun had become a swan off?? I dont mind flash but very un impressed

I know casting difficultys but I have had  loads of Nicks and always good  stuff...

My mate Drew (Helsing on her)sent me a full e mail in his sets and the  bad castings in evry set he got and he bough a full set???

Who else ???

Shadowking,

Can I suggest you take this up with Nick at Northstar directly? He has a great team working with him and they'll be appalled if some mis-castings have managed to escape in the rush to service the thousands of orders they have had for IHMN figures.

Here are the contact details:
•Sales:  +44 (0)115 978 6656
•Fax: +44 (0)115 955 2108
(Address all faxes to North Star W37)
•Email: mailorder@northstarfigures.com
•Trade Enquiries: sales@northstarfigures.com

I have had dozens of their figures and other than a little flash I have not experienced this.

Cheers,
Craig.

Hi Shadowking,

I've had every set except for the Tong and apart from the flash (which was no worse than you would get on Perry minis as an example) they were fine - no miscasts. After a quick cleanup the figures were a joy to paint.

I'm sure that North Star would replace them if you got in touch.

Cheers

Norman

I have never had any  bad stuff from Nick and know him long time, my concern is i have loads of people i know and talk and e mail and I read a few coments and  waited till i got a set to see myself, my best mate as i said sent me his e mail on the state of his  castings so this  post I had to  do, the idea, the book, the rules superb no problems at all, I just would not like un beknown to Northstar people being disapointed at what they find in there boxes, (and i looked the  plastic bag the padded wrap inside the plastic case should not make any trouble in the content) but the castings were at fault.

Shadowking,

I am sure that once Nick hears of this he will be on the case and will be glad that you brought it to his attention.

Small companies in a hobby industry survive on the goodwill and confidence of their customers so this will be important to him.

Cheers,
Craig.

Send 'em back. If you ever get castings you are unhappy with post them back to us and we'll send good ones in return. There does seem to have been a small number of Currs got out there that are not as good as they should be. I opened some boxes on our shelves and they all look good.

Nick

Except for one figure being double, my Lord Curr set was amazing. The end of his gun broke, but that was fully my fault.

But yeah, contact Nick. Nice guy and very helpful!
