Is there any figures released by any company in the last two years that has not been sculpted my Mr Hicks? Not a critisism- as I buy as many of his sculpts as I can afford!  lol

I like these- not my period but very interesting anyway- is this the same period that the Tom Cruise film 'Last Samurai' is set?

Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/
And for Ultra-modern Wargaming check out Hotel Zugando at http://ultramoderngaming.blogspot.co.uk/

Thanks to all of you for the kinds comments!

If you need any info on uniforms etc just let me know  :)
Thanks James, I will bear in mind.

Will it stretch into the Satsuma Rebellion/Last of the Samurai periodnas well?
I think that can work well.

Please make sure that you post in this thread when they are ready.

I really do not want to miss them.
 :D

Sure!

Would these work for Gilbert and Sullivan themed games?
Sorry, I don't know Gilbert and Sullivan themed games.

More or less, The last samurai is a mix of the Boshin War and Satsuma Rebellion.

Very nice, I'll be picking up a pack  :)

It’s a risky bet given that it is a very little known conflict and I can’t know if it will be accepted,
this means that its success and continuity of this range of miniatures depends mostly on the interested people.

Obscure for sure, but I think Wargames Illustrated recently ran a series of articles on 19thC Japan, which included one on the Boshin War - so you never know.

An other range started with Hicks Sculpts that finished after 10 packs, I'm afraid. Maybe I'm too pessimistic

Well I would be happy with whatever is made, to be honest, as I will not be looking for an army just a few packs of characterful figures for use in Pulp and VSF.

Could be the start of a new EotD faction, the period is about right.  :)

Now that's an interesting idea, set it in Japan and I think you're onto a little niche winner.

I'll be getting them for their intended purpose though  ;D lol

cheers

Would you care to elaborate? I'm rather new to the whole thing (besides some ACW modelling and gaming for the better part of twenty years  ;D). I know Mr Hicks works for a lot of companies/people but most seem to get added every now and then.

I have the masters, I'm really glad with how they have turned out.
I think that they will be ready in a week more or less, once the production mould has been made.
