« on: February 16, 2013, 07:30:03 PM »
Hi Everyone

I have had a few idea's recently for some underwater type scenery that could be used as a Flooded city or Atlantis etc..

First up is this piece, Its an old sunken monument /statue.

What do you think so far?

Great jorb!

Is the pice finished yet?  What is the column made from?

If possible, the column would look good with some fluted patters like a greek/roman column.  Right now it looks too smooth.

Also, another way to add some encrusting detail would be to add some glue to the column, and sprinkle on some plaster.  You will need to mist the plaster lightly a few times as well, but once the glue dries and the plaster cures, it will leave some nice encrusted stuff that looks like sealife.  You can find some pictures of what I  mean in a piece I did for my deepwars terrain: http://mylifeinmm.blogspot.ca/2013/01/deepwars-ruins-update.html

Keep us posted, it should look ace with some paint!

Thanks for the advice, just checked out your deep wars ruins, Great stuff  :-*

The main body was just an plastic tub that some headache pills came in. I might try and crust it up bit like you said, and also do a base for it.

What other plans do you have for under water terrain?

Thanks
George

I just got ahold of the deepwars sunken death ray device piece of scenery... planning to make a nice little scenic base with some sort of ruined platform.
