WinterApoc - New figures 27.06.13
« on: February 18, 2013, 06:04:04 PM »
I had been toying with doing a 'modern' British post-apocalypse game for a while, and  Silent Invader's 'Scavenge Skirmish Survive' project tipped me over the edge. As the figures have only just become available, I've had a while to set aboout doing some conversions which will fit in...

First up assorted scavengers - these are conversions (and a few stock figures) from Offensive, Hasslefree, TAG, Hetzerdog, Acheson Creations, MoFo, Killer B, Urban Beat, Dixon, BTD &  Foundry:

All from offensive. From the L: Stock; Copplestone chinese sword +sword strap added; Stock; Scarf added.

From the L: Hasslefree/Stock; Foundry Victorian Thug/New hat, scarf, beard & bag; TAG chechen/Weapon swop for Hasslefree G36; TAG Chechen/Stock.

From the L: Killer B/reduced flares, added bag; Offensive/stock, Dixon Resistance fighter/Weapon swop, added hood & scarf, removed arm-band.

All TAG. From the L: Added hat, coat, beard & bag; Added coat, beard & bag; Added coat & bag; Weapon swop for crossbow, added coat, beard & bag.

From the L: Hasslefree/Added coat & bag; Dixon Resistance fighter/Added scarf, hat, backpack, enlarged shoulder bag; Urban beat/Added hat, beard & bag; Killer B/Hand swop (Killer B pistol)

From the L: MoFo/modified beret to cap, added bag; TAG/modified shotgun into OU version, coat, bag scarf, removed trouser pockets(?); BTD/converted PPSH into DB shotgun; Killer B/weapon swop (GW club), added beard, bag, belt kit

From the L: Hetzerdog/removed bobble from hat; Acheson creations/added SLR (TAG)
I'm not planning to group these up other than on a game-by-game basis...

Cultists - the majority are straight up figures from Hetzerdog, and a conversion from Black Cat Bases

All stock Hetzerdog

L & C Stock hetzerdog; R = BCB/added gasmask + pouches

There will be (quite a few) more figures to come; here are a couple of sneak peaks of some of the WiP conversions:

And some more bits (Figures from Tiger, Brigade, Offensive, BTD, Foundry & MegaMinis; Dogs from Brittania & Tiger; Wolves from WestWind & Alternative Armies; Vending machine -AKA SSS search location! - from Anisty) :

Brigade games Gangster/hat changed

From the L: Sgt Mjr Minis/Stock; Offensive/Scarf added; Tiger/Weapon swop, added trousers, scarf, bag, removed base to lower height; SMM/modify pole to Halberd using GW piece

From the L: Offensive/changed placard for blade; BTD Partizan/modified coat slightly

From the L: MegaMinis/Added coat, hat & beard; Foundry/Added hood & changed T-shirt into hoody front

The dogs will either be domesticated or part of the feral dog pack I'm planning. Although wolves aren't native to the UK any more, there are a lot in wild-life parks, and I'm sure there are a few derranged greenies who would try to liberate all the animals during the end of the world... Hence letting me field wolf packs to further give my survivors grief :)

A really great selection of survivors! I'm very jealous of them! Where did they all come from?

Thanks Guys :D

@ Wilkins - They are mainly conversions (of a lesser or greater extent). I think there are only 3 or 4 'stock' figures up there :-/ I''ll post a full list (possibly with vague notes on what I did, if that's any use) tomorrow...

Sounds good thank you! As soon as my WW2 project is done (and it's been going for two years so who knows when that will be...) I'm starting a project similar to yours! The scavenge skirmish survive figures have gone a long way to giving me some minis I want but some of your conversions are excellent!
