Some old models resurrected. Painted in the 80s mostly. Recently re-based.

164 views and no love for such an impressive site? I haven't seen that much horse flesh since a recent visit to [insert your choice of supermarket here]!

Would be great to see some close ups.

Bonjour Brian,

Just had a look at these chaps and agree that Connoisseur do have a certain something.

I've got a 24 figure unit of charging French Dragoons which I bought second-hand a decade ago and they've fought many a battle for me, often successfully. They're usually brigaded with my 24 figure "at rest" Front Rank Dragoon regiment which provides an interesting comparison and does show that Connoisseur retain a lasting appeal.

Your chaps look so good that you succumb to acquiring some more!

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul

Yes - they are still made so the habit continues. :)

What I like about Connoisseur (and Elite for that matter) is that the figures look like they are in motion. Sure the castings are not as crisp and the sculpting is naive at times, but that is forgotten when you start painting them. Although I like a lot of the modern figures, I find them somewhat wooden. I am pretty sick of "March Attack" I have to say.

Cheers
Brian
