Convenient Cheap Heroclix Lurkers (New Figures 03/02/13)
« on: February 23, 2013, 10:15:14 PM »
I don't know if folks are aware, but the recent Heroclix release (Amazing Spider-man) has a "Legion of Monsters" category featuring characters from Marvel horror comics of the 1970s. Some examples here:

The Living Mummy:

Damon Helstrom, the Son of Satan (might make a good cult leader):

Manphibian (might make a good Deep One):

Johnny Blaze (the former Ghost Rider):

Zuvembie (Zombie):

Vampire/Dracula:

Frankenstein's Monster:

Werewolf by Night:

There are some others in the series that I don't have yet as well (Hannibal King, Blade, Frank Drake, Brother Voodoo, Morbius, etc.) but I'll add them to this thread if I acquire them.

Sorry for the sub-standard photography (particularly on the vampire) but I'm operating away from my usual set-up.

*Edit* I've got some spares of these listed in the Bazaar here:

Seen some people using Heroclix figures over here on LAF but somehow I haven't paid that much attention to Clx range before... should change that, that werewolfie looks quite proper to me. Thanks for pics.

Thanks for the heads-up, Heldrak.

I have been known to use a few 'clix, so will have to keep my eyes open for any of these going cheap.

Most of them are quite large in scale, so they should be a good match with Uncle Mike's figure range.

Thanks for the information regarding these clix.  I've rebased a lot of clix for different game systems and hadn't seen much about the Amazing Spider-Man set.  Picked up a few of the Mummies, Frankenstein's Monster, Werwolves and Manphibians to add to the monster collection!

Manphibian looks nice but I much prefer the four A Creature.

Mason gave me a few horror clix which I use as Lurkers. I really like these lardies

There are some good clix out there. One of my faves is Solomon Grundy who Mason uses to beat a bloody bath with as a construct....brutal.
"The sword sung on the barren heath,
The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

I may have to look into the heroclix line a bit more, there are some really good figures in there. Thanks for the information.

The Horrorclix line has a ton of figures that you can easily convert for Strange Aeons. I have several in my collection and they stack up nicely with a little work. It's also nice that you can find most of them for extremely cheap prices now.

Got a fresh batch in today!  ;)

Morbius, the living vampire:

Blade v1 (the Wesley Snipes version):

Blade v2:

Frank Drake, Dracula's descendent (Heroclix uses the same figure with a different paint job for Hannibal King):

Satana:

Roy Raymond (from the DC Heroclix line):

Dr. Strange (the latest of many versions):

Dr. Druid (AKA Dr. Droom for the cognoscenti):

John Jameson (Heroclix uses the same figure with a different paint job for Rick Jones):

Man-wolf (John Jameson in lycanthropic form):
