Request for a friend - 20mm Starfleet types - must be 20mm!
« on: February 24, 2013, 01:55:24 PM »
Hello!

Looking for some minis for a friend's diorama - he's looking to build a small shuttlebay diorama (Next gen or onwards) and the shuttle kit he's got is 1/72 scale.

Any suggestions for crew/passengers? Some conversion work can be done, including minor greenstuff work.

Cheers!

I know it has been a decade so hopefully your friend found something to use but Cosmic Models has released a lot of 72nd scale Trek figures.  https://www.cozmicscalemodels.com/

ha, funnily enough I encountered Cosmic at the IPMS show in Telford just before Christmas.  I passed the website along as I believe the diorama is still in the 'to build' pile (2 kids, 3 house moves and a couple of job changes have interfered with his plans along the way  lol )

RavenX does a bunch of Trek style STL files. You can scale them to what you want. I have printed up hundreds of them and they are very nice. TOS, Khan era and TNG DS9 era. Modiphus alos make some files. I know I butchered that name.

Thanks

And I've got most of the RavenX Trek figures (and Lost Heresy). Just need to find a more reliable UK printer for RavenX!

Howver Cozmic have got both DS9 and Voyager characters available in 1:72 and 1:32 scales and 28mm is between the two. Also, they have some great looking Trek shuttles.

As it happens I've just started painting up some RavenX Cardassians at the moment and I've got the Jem'hadar and Vorta to do next, planning to use the new Legion skirmish rules for them.  Just need to sit down and work out which units suit best for which race.

How spooky!  :o

After I finish my Lost Heresy Andorians, I've got the RavenX Cardies and Jem'hadar & Vorta up next too!

I'm planning on using Fistful of Lead: Bigger Battles with mine. Dominion War here we come!
