I got hold of a box of troopers on Sunday and  must say that they are very sharp. I was a little disappointed that there were only the standard rifles in the box... but apart from that they are lovely looking minis (I will be getting the upgrade box to add a bit of variety at some point).

You must have picked up the ten man Rifle Squad? the 20 man Stormtrooper set has the other weapons.

@RWWIN Love the trooper and the mules!

@DOZING DRAGON  Sorry those are OOP for now... They may see plastic some day but that will likely be some years.

I'm back with a little progress on my warthog conversion.  I've now got an A-Driver finished and the gunner with dual machine guns in the mock up stage.  More pics and info on my blog:

It's been a long slog but I've managed to finish my stormtrooper support weapons.  The kit wasn't quite as nice to work with as the basic infantry kit, but The results were still worthwhile.  I've put a full review and more pictures on my blog.

I've finally taken the plunge and am starting work on my Leviathan Crusader.  This thing is a beast, but very well designed and broken down.  I've got the leg internals built and painted and now I'm moving on to the feet and armor.  I don't think I'll ever see this thing on the tabletop, but it should still be pretty impressive on the shelf.  More at my blog:

Yeah, when I first spotted it at a convention...I did think it was a bit "comically" big.  I don't know when you'd use it - perhaps on one of those 30' long convention games or something.  It reminded me of the WH40K Armorcast titans/gargants...neat models but useless for gaming.

Great start with the Leviathan Crusader! It will be an impressive sight to see.

Just wondering about another matter... could one of those machineguns used in the four-mg support weapon work as a support weapon for the troopers without too much cutting and slicing?

Thanks.

I don't believe it would be easy to turn one of the quad machine guns into a support weapon.  They are cast as a pair of two,  top and bottom, so it would be a pain in the rear to cut them apart.  There are plenty of spare machine guns on the two infantry kits though.
