Well everyone should have its own Colonial Marine themed army, so when the Sedition War Kickstarter come around  i had to jump in as i really liked the aesthetics. I plan to use the troopers as base for my Tomorrows War C-Marine styled Force. So thats the first batch of Test Minis i fast painted up during the last 2 weeks + a test vehicle for the camoflage i plan to use.

Looks very bleeding edge.  :)
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

The first I've seen and they look very cool.  :-*

Believe it or not I haven't even opened the box. When I do I'm thinking about doing some heavy modification of the minis. We'll see.

Looking forward to more of your work!

Finished the Drohne and the last of the extra Troopers. Next will be an APC and a Walker for heavy fire support (which i can hopefully work on this weekend).
So far this force is coming nicly along. I may try my hand on some conervsions of troopers (as i still need some more) but could need some ideas on how to do that  ;)

Cracking work, especially on the troopers. What did you use for the base color and highlights?

Great looking stuff so far. These figures really do look good in the lighter colour armour most folks have been painting them in. I'm planning to use the grey and white scheme from the books myself, because I think it looks quite suitable.

For the colors used:

Basic Color is Vallejo Deck Tan, than washed over with Asurmen Blue and highlighted back up with Deck Tan and Vallejo Ivory.

Wepons are Vallejo Luftwaffe Green + some parts with Vallejo Olive Drap.

These minis are really a joy to paint and you get to very good results without spending to much time (i did them in batches of 4 over about 8 evenings).

Finished some more Vehicles:

Light Multipurpose APC to keep these workers in the far away colonies in check.

In case some heavy fire support is needed.

with pilot

and the pilot close up

Going for a corporate approach here, so everything has the relative clean look of a well maintained corporate army which main task is to keep the company holdings on different worlds save.

Very nice  :-*

I like the concept of clean corporate looks *thumbs up*

What will the opposition consist of, solely worker rabble?

I'd like to have at least one "irregular" Force but still havent found some suitable Minis i like (I'd prefer a mix out of Humans and tribal like looking Aliens like the Kroot etc.). Have some Ideas here but time will tell.

For now i setting them up against one militia style force (getting some use out of my ultra modern americans from the thread in the modern forum) and a grym space dwarf army (about half the troopers are painted and i got a bunch of nice vehicles for them as well) which should give them a run for their money  ;).

Next will be more Infantry models and i'm thinking about adding a squad of bikers for recon/police duty (the minis come from the old void line but should fit well with the rest of the force).

The Wargames Factory Shock Troopers might be a good/cheap basis for conversion into an enemy (human or alien) force. They're not bad and have lots of different options for heads. And since they're plastic you could convert them pretty easily.
