Miniature ID help
« on: November 06, 2013, 06:46:37 PM »
My mom hands me these three, tells me that they were in my old childhood room and they are "little men your dad used to get you." Could anyone be able to expand on that? Company/mini type/anything at all?

It's nothing, sir. Just a burn from a ray gun.

A rather vague answer but...the Celtic type figure in the centre looks similar in style to a few that I have that I THINK were from "Alternative Armies".

The other two look in general style and form to be Grenadier and I'd date them all to the early '90s.

It is very possible that I'm very wrong on all counts  lol

Yes, it's a Bob Olley miniature, Sidhe range from the Alternative Armies.
You can still get some of them on their website, though not all of them:

http://www.alternative-armies.com/The_Sidhe.htm

Can't help with the others.

Cheers
Alex

Here's another mini I was hoping you lads could help with. Always on the lookout for low fantasy middle easterners and here's one I really like. No idea of company though.

From the waste up he is part of Al Muktar's Desert Dogs. Since they were mounted i am not sure where the waste down comes from.
At least i dont think there were non-mounted versions. Looks to possibly be a conversion.

The outer 2 on the first pic are Julie Guthrie sculpts for Grenadier. Should be in one of the Julie Guthrie sub headings;
