First time I show my miniatures on this forum. I'm working on an old west town project (what a surprise !)
Here's a few shots of some of the currently done miniatures.

Nice brushwork.

I especially like the blacksmith figure. :)

I have another 15+ Black Scorpion minis about to hit my doorstep (to add to the...35+ I have done).  Love your brushwork.  Really love the minis.

Thanks guys.
I am slowly switch from black scorpion to Artizan.
There's more characters in these minis than in Black Scorpion. That's obviously a matter of personnal taste.

It's funny because people keep saying that on every forum...yet I find the BS guys to have much more character than the oddly proportioned ranges of Foundry etc.  I suppose it is entirely a matter of personal taste, but if not for BS miniatures I honestly wouldn't have even gotten into cowboy gaming.   lol

I think I really can't stand cartoonish proportions which a lot of the other ranges seem to have.  They look a bit too comical/pulpy for me, where the BS models have many which are characterful without being too arcadey.

My buddies use a whole range of different models.  The only other set I'm dying to get my hands on are the Brigade Miniatures bushwackers which look an absolute treat!

The Dead Man's Hand miniatures look good too from the teases I've seen, though some weird proportions already appearing!

Don't get me wrong I love BS. I own 2/3 of their range.
I have started painted some Artizan and I must admit they are also very good. There's pro and con's in both ranges.
If you feel some of the ranges are comical/pulpy, BS is very Spaghetti Western (ie Sergio Leone).
Faces are not always very nicely sculpt. They are very sharp and somewhat over carved. Not talking about the fact that 2/3 of the miniature have mustachs.
Weapons size is just not accurate even for 32mm.

Even then I still love BS

Thanks. I probably own around 30 minitatures with 20 painted so far but it will most probably keep growing.
I will now focus on buildings and scenary.

I'm starting some building (sarrisa). I'm not 100% satisfied by the result so far. The photo is not very good also.

You're not satisfied with how the Sarissa kit looks when its finished? That's a pretty good looking building in the picture there. The one thing that bothers me about these kits is the puzzle cut ends. You can hide these with a piece of trim and it improves the appearance 100%.

Really good paint job on those ones, I want to see the rest of the minis! I have some BS and Artizan myself, being a not-so good painter myself I find that most BS ones look a bit like a face with a tash, whereas the Artizan ones look a bit more human. That said, my absolute favourite ones are the two "fatties" with big beards from the BS range  :D.
