I started work on a new commission this week. Some Warlord Pike & Shotte stuff consisting of an agitator and a small crowd of armed rabble.

The first few are painted and I'm rather enjoying doing them.

Beautiful. Love the colors and the way you reflect the flame off the woman's dress. I believe I seen you do that before with the Empire of the Dead Dr. Watson. Just outstanding stuff. Richard

Lovely paintjob. Really like your painting style., Can I just ask what you find is the easiest way of removing integral bases from miniatures? I've tried a few techniques to varying success but they are all an absolute pain!

My technique is also a pain unfortunately. I clip the base off close to the feet to reduce the surface area (not removing any between the feet though) and then begin the slice bits of the remaining base off the bottom with a knife. Once there's a thin piece of base left I begin to file the left over metal away by rubbing it on a large file (not sure if what I have is a wood or metal file but I know I could do with a new one!). Once the imprint of the feet appear in the thin metal you can usually just peel it away and clean the edges of the feet up. It's time consuming and ends up being quite painful as well if you're doing it all day.

Thanks for sharing. That's pretty much my technique was hoping you could end my base removing woes.
