There is nothing wrong with the format. And i say this as a person that never liked playing Magic.
I know there are other card type making programs out there. But if you got the hang of this i say stick with it. Looks good.

I've played MtG albeit it being in the former millenium  and don't see any problem at all with these cards. They layout looks very clean, which makes the cards easy to read. Much better then having a cluttered unclear layout.

I've being interested in trying out Savage world for quite some time, but somehow never got around to it. Do you have any advice on where to start with?

As a Skirmish game you can down load the Showdown Rules and a pair of skirmish scenarios Brides of Dracula, Rumble in the Jungle from Pinnacles website.

Likewise there is a testdrive of the RPG core rules with a scenario, Figure stand ins, Training wheels Character Sheet and Combat tactics guide among the things downloadable from their website.

Savage Heroes and the Savagepedia have a collection of fan items.

There is is a new update of Wild Card Creator [Adds Hellfrost and War of the Dead, might make the Grey's easier now I've done them all ]. Just in time for the 400th stat block.

well, the points used in showdown are quite naive: merely a sum of the characteristics, with a few multipliers. When i read at the example monsters, the points looked really weird to me.
