Are they based for a particular rules set  or just out of personal taste? If for a rules set, which one?  I have a batch of them here and have been wrestling with how I am going to base them for some time now

IMO the miniature works really nicely together with the Sedition War minis

Quite. The Komodo's a luvverly miniature otherwise too. But of course the Defiance Games hardsuit will be much more affordable...

Might be, but Defiance have such a poor reputation, I doubt that we will see that baby soon.

There is that, plus possible quality issues. Hence the ambigious "hypnotized" smiley

The Komodo doesn't fit quite that well with the upcoming SedWar suits unfortunately. They are nice on their own but they've obviously evolved along another branch of the tech tree.

Lovely work on the suit. It really fits the bill.

It is a costly item but it is worth the price. The trouble is that if you want a lot of them it is difficult to afford. I think that is where the Defiance suits will come into their own because people will be able to afford them in numbers...

... as to whether Defiance will manage to get quality products out there before hell freezes over... only time will tell

I see it mostly as a problem if you want literally dozens of the little (well, compared to a real life human) blighters. If you only need a hard-hitting elite squad then it's not massively excessive, IIRC £56 for 4 with worldwide p&p included.

I generally think in platoons and as much as I like them, I don't think I could afford 28

That suit looks lovely with the Sedwar troops, fantastic PJ Agis.
I think Antenocies should start giving you commission, you've certainly made me reconsider getting a couple of these things, I'd dismissed them as over priced before.

OTOH none of the games I play regular like (whatever that means these days) needs or in most cases will really even accommodate a platoon of this class ("size 3") of powered infantry (if you want to be able to play a game in an afternoon or so obviously).

But this is one of those situations where a few proponents of what I see as an exotic requirement will inevitably want to tell me that I'm wrong about it being "exotic"
