Really? I based it off the Clyde scheme but used pink instead of the navy to give it a more feminine colour scheme ... am planning on lightening the shirt up a bit to make it a little more pink rather than burgundy ...

I was thinking of giving her reddish-brown hair ... Bonnie's definitely no blonde!

Great minds think alike.  :D

I kept my model's shirt red.
I wanted to do red hair on mine, but I wanted to contrast it away from the shirt so I went with black.
I was planning on doing a striped skirt but laziness got the best of me.  :D

You can see her here, Ive touched her up a little since this photo was taken.

I see what you mean about Bonnie ... I think if I lighten up her shirt, I might get away with reddish-brown hair, but let's see! I can always change to a darker colour if it looks weird ...

Stripes would have been nice on her skirt! Mind if I pinch that idea?? (or try to, at least. Haven't tried painting stripes or lines on any minis yet ...)

Nice paint job on those minis - makes me want to paint more!! I have the Expedition to Wonderland pack waiting for me at home ...

Thanks for sharing  :)

Go red! You are right, you can always darken her hair later.  :D

By all means go for it!  :D

Went to mix a reddish-brown for the hair last night and realised I didn't bring red with me!! :?

So I mixed some Baal Red wash into the brown paint I had ... ended up a bit more brown than red, but will try putting the red wash over it tonight and see if that gives it the red tinge I'm after ...

By all means go for it!  :D

Thanks, I'll try it out!

I will!

Finally finished painting Bonnie!

Not completely happy with how her skin turned out, but after an afternoon of fixing up my stripes, I am pretty happy with how the check on her skirt turned out. First time painting stripes!

Here is a pic and some more can be found on my blog:

After uploading the pics, I realised just how crappy they turned out - the painting looks quite messy ... this is the best one I could manage with this camera. Not having a good time over here trying to get some good shots ... Will take some better pics and add them to my blog ASAP.

Feedback welcome!

You did a TERRIFIC job bringing Bonnie & Clyde to life. Your brushwork & basing are exceptional. VERY WELL DONE!
The plus for moi is that your creations have provided moi with the needed motivation/inspiration to start on my own B&C...thanks Princess.

Thanks! While I thank you for the compliments on my painting, I can't take credit for the basing, as my husband sculpted that for me - I just painted it! Haven't ventured too far into the sculpting side of things myself yet ...

You're welcome  ;) looking forward to seeing some pics when you're done!

Hi all,

Been working on another LAM mini, so I've put a couple of WIP pics on my blog:

http://painting-princess.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/the-mad-hatter.html

Here's the front-on shot, which shows the grass/moss and plant that Christian sculpted onto the base for me. He sculpted cobblestone on the back art of the base to go along with the bases for Bonnie and Clyde.

Hope to post updated pics soon!

Very nice!

Stripes on clothing scare the bajeebers out of me.  You make it look easy.
