Looking for necromancer miniatures
« on: March 10, 2013, 12:13:23 PM »
Hi, I'm looking for a necromancer to use in a mordheim undead warband and can't seem to find anything that fits my view of a necromancer. Well apart from the classic Heinrich Kemmler which isn't an option  lol The ones GW sell right now look more like battlemages with added skulls to me, and the mordheim necromancer looks like a child molestor. Right now I'm looking at https://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/03571 this one but I'm not really happy with that one either. Please LAF help me find my necromancer!

How about the mad puppet necro or the fenryll one?
"The sword sung on the barren heath,
The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

Comsquare: Cool model, but I'm afraid it doesn't fit my view of a necromancer. Would work very well for a possesed warband though!

smokezombie: The fenryll ones were quite ok, but not exactly what I had in mind, still better thant the GW ones! The Mad puppet one is more like it!

I see a necromancer as someone that has secluded himself from the rest of society (often because you know, necromancy is illegal). Someone who has spent quite a bit travelling the wilderness and should have some tattered robes, while still looking like he commands power and is not just some poor old beggar.

I painted up this Guy to go with the Necro from G.W. as a commission. I liked him so much I picked up another for moi:

The red box one looks a little too demonic for me, the customminis I think lacks a bit of character :(

Is there a bigger pic of the chronopia one somewhere?

Right now I'm liking the madpuppet one http://www.madpuppetminiatures.com/main.php?zone=det&art=25
and the Reaper one DeafNala posted has a ton of character! Thanks!

Does anyone know where I can buy Reaper minis in Europe?

Do Caliver Books have them via Minifigs?
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)
