Is the UN in the Near Future for Iron Pig?

I bought some of Iron Pig's new Near Future figures. Very nice and fun to paint. So I'm looking forward to see their next release which I plan to use as some kind of militia opponents to these UN soldiers.
I was inspired by some pictures with SANDF (South African) soldiers and thought that blue UN helmets would be nice to that.

So far I have only painted 2. But I will paint a few more, maybe a squad of 10. The leader will have a beret.
The idea is to base it on the current situation in the Kivus (Congo, DRC). So there will be a small core of good troops supported by low quality troops.
I'm not sure what rules to use, maybe Force on force? Any ideas for good modern skirmish rules anyone?

FoF sounds like a good choice. Then you could consider Skirmish Sangin for even smaller encounters, like a fireteam vs similar number of opponents (although set in A-stan, I think the rules could be used just like that) or maybe Brink of the Battle?

Personally I have only limited experience with FoF, but have been hearing only praise about the two other rules sets mentioned.
