The Lost Airmen BoB Game Report
« on: April 11, 2008, 05:09:50 PM »
A while ago my local club played a large Back of Beyond game, that involved two aircraft being shot down. The following is a report of the follow-up game to find out what happened to the airmen...

The initial battle was run using Contemptible Little Armies and this follow-up using .45 Adventure with a few 'home brew' rules to cover hidden movement etc

Captaingeneral refereed the game whilst players took on the roles of the two airmen, German Zeppelin crew, Chinese Warlord, Bolshevik commander & the Imperial British rocketcorps....

Apologies for the dodgey accents

Hi Thanks for the cake it was luvverly :D
The Tram car model is a 1/72 resin model of a wrecked tram, but for the life of me i can't remember which company....i bought it at Penarth Show 2 years ago...

I wrote some special rules stealing ideas from the Fury of Dracula Rules, with hidden movement and a trail track on a secret map board for the airmen. 8)

"The Germans go for their usual subtle approach"
"The British rocketcorps pause for tea"

    I loved those phrases... Those should be home rules for every pulp game

Excellent stuff. Glad to see such excellent reports coming in.

Every good pulp game should include at least one exploding rocket trooper.

For a serial and a battle report that was pretty diconnected, but witch those kind of images it is so easy to fill in the blanks. Here, bartender! Next round of that man is mine!

I work doing artwork for a printing company so I have a wide range of software available. For this the layout was done in Quark Xpress, photos edited using Photoshop & Illustrator

It's the first report of tried like this and I'm quite pleased with how it came out :)

The rocketcorps are from Scheltrum
