Battle of Fornovo Project Ahoy!
« on: March 15, 2013, 05:59:38 PM »
I'm afraid that I haven't got very much time so I'm going to have to just upload the pics and show what's been happening as I haven't made a post of any substance for quite some time.

The first set of pics is a basic plan of what I'm hoping to use in terms of the models of the models I intend to use for Francesco Gonzaga command base leading his men at arms accross the river Taro for theFornovo demo game that I've been working on.

The second bunch are some conversion models of the French Mounted Crossbowmen that were present at the battle and have largely been inspired by our very own Captain Bloods superb work on his WoR collection:

There is still the small matter of adding some grey putty to the models as well as a bit of cleaning up of the metal mini's but they should soon be ready for a lick of paint.

I've got a few more pics lined up of some of the other stuff for Forovo that I've been working opn but I'll wait intil these fellows have had a lick of paint before adding anything else.

Darrell.

Looking Good, keep us posted.

Ps, there's nothing wrong with a hiatus, it just makes it more worthwhile when something is finished  :)

Thanks for the encouragement chaps. I'm going to have a go at doing a few trial bases as I'm going to be attempt to get the look of the troops charging through the river.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated  :).

Thanks Michael. But to be fair, I can't take the credit for all the conversions The plastic one's are based on the good Captain Blood's work, whilst the metal conversions are mine.

I know David. I've got no excuse now  :D.

Michael seems to have been reading my mind when it came to sculpting the Late Medieval Italians... just so fortunate really!  :)
