Gale Force 9 Toxic Pools
« on: March 31, 2013, 02:01:24 PM »
I bought the Gale Force Nine’s Toxic Pools box from their ’Battlefield in a box’ range. There are three pre painted pools of different sizes and two small bags of static grass. As I did not like the painting, to paint them in order to give them more contrast and enhance their look.

With the proper painting, these toxic pools could also look like lava pools or  asphalt pools.

I like your modifications! Nicely done. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to get these locally - I've been waiting a long while for the local shop to bring them in.  :?

The Battlefield in a Box terrain seems to be at its best with a little extra paint work.  Those look  good with the highlights painted in.

Yep, the GF9 stuff definitely needs a little bit of paint to make them work well.  I had done some of their ponds recently.

Just a bit of dry-brushing, added some flock, and some pond-scum...very easy to touch them up into something a bit nicer.
