:-* wow that blue and off white is fantastic! A beauty of a Colour scheme! I might pinch that for a questing knight. ;)

The latest Man of Iron is possibly the best yet. I love how you managed to get his eye painted; & your color choices are EXCELLENT. GREAT WORK!

Hi all,

I've finally gotten around to finishing another knight! This one's the unit champion:

As usual, more pics on my blog: http://painting-princess.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/a-champion-among-men.html

He doesn't have any grass or leaves on his base like the others because I haven't sprayed him and the yellow and black knight with dullcote yet, so I still have those little finishing touches to do, but I thought I'd put up some pics anyway :)

I also fixed up some of the highlighting/shading on the others. Here they are all ranked up:

Hope you like them!

I do like them! They are really looking good, loving the group shot. The unit champion is the best of the bunch (in my opinion), I really like the armour (shaded very well) the helmet crest (a very nice tan colour, give me your recipe please), the red shading is great and the face is fantastic.

Don't give up on this great project, I want to see massed ranks of knights,

He's a beauty!

But...  :o you changed the fab blue and off white to black/yellow! :'(
To each his own. I'm loving these older figs, I think they are full of character!

Cheers

Thanks Damien :) the tan colour is GW Bleached Bone with a wash of Gryphone Sepia over it. Then highlighting with more Bleached Bone lightened with Skull White (or White Scar, whatever they call it these days).

Definitely will keep them coming, though I only have 15 figures for the foot knights, so I don't know about massed ranks! ;)

Thanks Matt :) haha I thought you were talking about the guy with the eagle on his head (who I did use blue and Bleached Bone - or off-white, I guess - on). That B&Y knight was always black and yellow. Must be the camera I used to take the photo of him the first time :? BUT at least now I paint make another one in blue and off-white to make up for it ;)

I have been following your progress on these fellas since the begining and just realised that I have not complimented you yet.
How rude!

Some really nice work on here, Princess.
I was pretty impressed at the start but you are getting better with each one.
Keep it up!
 :-* :-*

The only complaint I have is that you are proving that my eyes are getting worse.
I took a glimpse at this chap:

...and had to do a double take, as I was wondering exactly how he was holding his helm there when his hand was in the air above it!
 ::)

Please forgive my numptiness!
 :D

Thanks Mason :) I really appreciate the positive feedback!

Haha don't worry, I did the same thing when I first undercoated him! ;D

"Why is his hand waving above the helmet? Oh ... it's a crest ..." o_o

What's next up Princess?

Hmm ... I've got a bunch more of these foot knights to go. Also, a little conversion figure I've been waiting to start on!
