Cold War Canadians
« on: March 27, 2016, 12:04:53 AM »
I've always wanted to do Cold War Gone Hot in the mid 1980's, and use more of my winter terrain. So, here is my first crack at Canadian infantry along the Arctic treeline, to fight those pesky Soviets in the far north. I took Gripping Beast Argentinian infantry from the Falklands War, lopped off their heads and added GB British toque heads from the SAS range, a little green stuff, and here's the result. My Soviets are all in white winter camo, so I wanted the Canadians to look a little different. Besides, they blend into the trees better this way! Last, but not least, I'm a big fan of the FN and find it an iconic piece of kit.

They look great.

Canadians rarely wore the white tops anyway, so perfect. The idea was the trees were the colour of the parka so only the bottoms were used.  Those polyester balaclavas rolled up are a nice touch.
