I've surely missed it, but where's the paddywagon from?

Great figures - crooked dice? The work on the black uniforms is just excellent.  ;D :-* o_o

Nice work, but a brown handbag?  Should be black........  8)

But it's not a standard issue police handbag! ;) I was even thinking of something funkier! I had 'Googled' 70s handbags.

Surely the design of that Irn-Bru can is an anachronism. Who does the research on these TV shows? ;)

Lovely painting.

I had to look 'anachronism' up!!! lol I really should have put an older issue of can on! I'm afraid 'The Beat-Govan' doesn't get the same budget as the main show! ;)

Figures are Crooked Dice, right enough, and the Bedford van is a repaint of an Oxford Diecast....

http://www.oxforddiecast.co.uk/navigationOX/43/comm/BEDFORDCA/43IndexBEDFORDCA.html

I've got 2 more to do. The one on the left ill paint the same as the other Bedford, but the ice cream van I'm going to leave as is so I can use it as a surveillance van.

Good idea with the ice cream van. Seeing it reminded me of the Ice Cream Wars, though that was the 80s. Nasty business.

Lovely painting.

Someone had to say anachronism...  I think custodian helmets in Scotland, especially in the Glasgow area, is a bit late for the 70s.  it's not exactly clear from a quick wiki/google when the cut over occurred but they stopped being issued to City of Glasgow in 1952 - sorry...

Absolutely fantastic work! Love it (but then, I'm biased... ;) )

On the subject of anachronistic Custodians, apparently there were some broken out of stores in the 80s for issue to the Support Unit during the Miners Strike, so not outwith the bounds of possibility that your guys could have snaffled some for a particularly hairy turn!

However, for a 70s drugs turn at the Govan docks, surely you need "The Scottish"!? Bunch of blokes with droopy 'taches and pick helves piling out of a beaten up old blue Transit, they could even double up as villains if required...

More power to yer brushin' elbow, sir!
Proudly not painting Wars of The Roses since... ever

Great stuff.
I'm not sure about  DI Gene McHunt to me he looks very much like Gene Hackman as Popeye Doyle (The French Connection).
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Thanks bud! And welcome to the Forum! You'll find quite a few 'weegies' here! ;) Did they make Transits in the 70s? I thought that was more of an 80s-90s thing!

I finished five of the evidence tokens for myself and my brothers games..
