i also was not aware of the work of Cubsters until now, but based on those three Samurai i would like to see more. I especially like the yellow silk sash and I would love to know what colours he used for the "peach" coloured robe

I don't know if he has a blog or not, but he is active on the Warlord forums - some more of his stuff can be seen here (you'd have to register if you want to see 'larger' photos though)

I don't normally do pre-orders, but I'm very tempted by the Ronin deal. Does the cash come out straight away Nick?

I do take the cash straight away. I know it sounds a bit mean, but that way when everything is here (box sets and books) all the pre-orders can go immediately. There is also a fact that around 10% of all card transactions fail, which is a huge amount. It's because people put wrong numbers in, the bank puts a fraud block on it, the customer has no money etc.. By charging now we can make sure everyone who genuinely wants a set will have their order in place when we go. There are actually 3 customers on file now for the Ronin deal whose cards failed and they've never replied to our emails to say the payment didn't go through.

Here's the Ninja figure that is coming out with all the Ronin Deals.

You can always order nearer the 1st of August, we aren't doing any kind of 'first come, first served' basis. :)

Held the Ronin book in my hands at Historicon. Gently put it back since I've already preordered. Toughest thing I did all day.

Those Osprey people  >:(

You know who you are.

Here's the painted Koryu to make up for it. You won't see them at Historicon.

Those are beautiful, having watched Seven Samurai last night (lost count of how many times I've watched it now, my all time favourite film)  i like the colour schemes used and will be taking some inspiration from these, but mine will look a lot dirtier.

I picked up a copy. I only gave the rules a quick read so far, but there are lots of things in there that I think will work well. Will try and give a better review once I have recovered from the drive back North.
