WIP Gladiator weapons set
« on: March 31, 2013, 01:07:44 PM »
Well, here's something :)

The start of a set of weapons for gladiators... another gladius, sica, tridents, spears to come next. I will also try my hand at some shields and helmets eventually.

I've since tidied up the "roundness" of the hilt with a file to make it a little more crisp, still a bit of work to go on the grip.

Comments more than welcome, I am by no means an expert here!

Very nice, looking forward to seeing these come together.

Great idea, I'd be insteristed in some of those.

Thanks, chaps!

Here is the progress so far... by the way they are scaled for 28mm figures. A bit larger than the weapons on the Crusader figures, just to make sure they cast well, but not ludicrously big. The milliput seems a bit brittle.

What do you all think? At this stage I am just making the weapons as I think of them... the tricky one will be the trident :)

Any requests, suggestions, or unusual exotic weapons?
