Barbarians that won't freeze?
« on: April 03, 2013, 12:16:50 AM »
I'm looking for barbarians in 28mm (give or take) scale that look like they would be suited for a northern climate. So many of the barbarian figures out there are clad in little more than a loin cloth, but it would be nice to find some figures that are pretty well fully clothed (in furs or similar).

Does anyone have a line of miniatures like this?

Might I suggest something from a historical range by 'Bill Musketeer'?

They are big enough to mix with a lot of fantasy ranges

or Bill's figs for GB?

They aren't as bundled up as aiteal's figures, but there are some good options with Saxons too.

And then there are these handsome fellows from Newline Designs.
Faces covered and plenty of cloaks.

I'd check out Westwinds dwarf wars Humans. Nordvolk. Cheap and they look great. :)

Nordic historic minis are probably your best bet, but there are a few alternatives, such as Tre Manor's Reaper sculpts or some new Hasslefree ones that are nice too, like this fellow: http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=guillermo~hfh066&category=miniatures~*new-toys*
