The goal of 50,000 Euros is a bit steep however!

I'm a big fan of Grenadier and Fantasy Warriors. But I don't think their campaign is well thought out. 25euro for a pdf is a bit much if you ask me especially when compared against the cost of the box set with a printed rulebook. The box set has 61.64 euro in miniatures and cost 70euros. Just my thought of course.

Agreed. The pdf seems on the expensive side, and the options for miniatures are underwhelming. When combined with the shipping costs, this is not a project I'll be backing.

This one is really struggling to get support. Is that down to the cost/shipping/rewards of the project itself, or has the game had its day?

Personally I still play the original 4-5 times a year and would of liked to supported this one but the shipping is high and the rewards really aren't there.

so, let's see
they have the sculpts and the moulds;
they have the rules;
they intend to revamp the art...
and release new miniatures (sculpted by whom?)
and maybe improve the game a bit.

So what do they need the money for? What would be the investment?

I don't see the point - if I like the old minis I can buy them anyway
New artwork - OK, not that there isn't tons of artwork on the net, but OK, the illustrator needs to feed his little ones too
Yes the printing, although they offer pdf....
now who needs another Fantasy wargame? I can't pretend to know the old one, but if it was that good it might have a fanbase like others....

So why not scan the old game books and offer them online and offer a price discount for the miniatures?
because basically they want the money for things others invest on their own, not for expensive stuff like tooling, moulding or sculpting

Mirliton used to have all the rules up on their site for free, they are no longer there.
EM-4 has the main rules on their site for free.

at its time i also bought the Dwarf Codex for fantasy warriors... it was a nice little game, but after a wile it sink.

And now they made a campaign with no graphic, no marketing, no realistic rewards nor products. I pledged 1 euro, just for simpaty!

I still have the original boxed game and expansions so not sure why i would want to back this.

Out of interest who owns the right to this and the old Grenadier minatures is it EM-4 or Mirliton?

Doug (EM4) has the Grenadier UK stuff. Mirliton has everything (including most of the stuff EM4 have).

What's even more interesting is that another UK company (formerly Terrain Wareohouse, now Ground Zero Gaming or somthing like that) ALSO seem to have rights to produce Grenadier models and stock some stuff not available from EM4/Forlorn Hopes.

As a fan of several OOP rules sets, I think mostly the latter (niche) but the former is a formidable factor here in the USA.

It's exactly this that has confused me.

I bought from Terrain Warehouse a while back, didn't realised they'd changed name.
