The Dwarf Squad
« on: April 01, 2013, 07:22:49 PM »
My first two figures in a long list of dwarf characters I'm planning to play SONG OF BLADES AND HEROES with. The Dwarf Cook from Scibor (even tho I filed down his huge dipper to a handy bludgeon, so he is not a cook anymore but rather a brute) and the Dwarf Mage from LAM. Then comes a West Wind axeguy and two dirty pigs from LAF, as travelling food for the squad.

Hi driller, very nice minis, I really like the first guy, he is painted really well and is a great sculpt. The second guy looks good too but I think crow scratched his scalp and he is bleeding from the top of his head  :)

 Cool minis,
 Damien

yup, that's no mistake, I wanted him to be a bit battle-worn :) Unfortunately the pics turned out a bit dark, the crow is not just a big black blotch either, I swear :)

I've often found with my own photos that they rarely look like the in-the-"flesh" minis...sometimes this is a blessing for moi. That aside, I think you did a SPLENDID job bring two VERY COOL minis to life. GREAT WORK!

Hi driller, I saw your thread, and as a dwarf fan thought I'd check it out. But the pics aren't showing :(

Is anyone else having this issue? Maybe it's just my computer, but I can see pics in other threads ...

I use Photobucket, that works pretty well. You can copy the links direct to the images and pop them inside the image tags in the post :)

I have updated the first post with pics hosted at photobucket, and also added two new, some dirty, dirty pigs among them, as food and companions for the squad. That didn't come out right...

I can see them now! They look great, driller. The first guy is my favourite and the Bruegelburg pigs are looking very dirty! lol They've got lots of character, well done.

thanks a bunch :) meanwhile I have managed to get a hold of a much better camera, and I took a new pic of the two main guys of the first set. Different dwarfs are coming soon, I promise, it's just that so far all i had time to photograph were these two :)
