Really nice Andy. The under coated house looks like sold black and white movie. I actually really like it just like that!!
The pig sty is great. I do wonder if it might look muddier with a gloss over the top of it? Better than anything I've done though  :D

I'm a big fan of Malifaux, and I was just talking with a friend about the style of buildings he envisioned the gremlins building. As he plays gremlins I figured his vision should be the one we go with. His thoughts were exactly what you've started building here.

Fantastic.

These are very fine looking dwellings. I'm very keen to see the finished product!

Regarding basing material I would like to suggest 3mm foam pvc. It can be easily cut with a craft knife or Stanley blade and, despite it's thinness, does not warp no matter how much watered-down PVA you slosh on it (it ain't porous, see?). Check ebay where you can pick up single A4 sheets for £1 (plus postage). I've been using it for a couple of years now and have based some serious terrain on it (including a three-storey resin tower) with no problems whatsoever. I recommend everyone gives it a try!

It is also a very common sign material, so check with a sign shop to see if they will sell you the offcuts from fabrication.

It's been a wee while, but I've finally finished my one of the houses for my mate. I'm not happy with the tree! :( I don't think it worked that well! If I was to do it again, I think the green sponge I used would need to be painted black or dark green first before the foliage goes on!! :'(

Mate, she's come up very nice. The green on the tree works too. The colours in the Florida swamps display a huge amount of "weird" colours.

EXCELLENT! You really captured the Malifaux look SPLENDIDLY. I hope you remember to take a Group Shot before giving them to your friend. GREAT WORK!
