Sure. Would you prefer the Metric or Imperial side of the ruler?

Hope this is okay, I ain't much of a photographer.

Had to have the ruler at the back like that, don't have enough hands to hold it and take the photo at the same time, and nobody's here to assist me today.

Superb! That's fast service. Thanks again! I guess it's the rails that make it look larger.

I should say I added the Lewis gun barrels from my bits box. It comes with Hotchkiss barrels, I seem to remember.

Thanks a lot!
It was the Hanni like the paper kit I was after.
Never knew about the naming. The only contemporary pic I know shows the tank from the same side, while riding into Berlin.
And the diagrams I got from the Disposable Y-group, which shows all beute tanks as hermafrodite.

I suppose Brigade is the way to go then.

I'm curious about the story of that Mk V though. :)

That's interesting, as I have yet to find a reference to an hermaphrodite Beutepanzer. All the ones in the books I have are clearly referred to as either Male or Female. I haven't ever seen a captured Hermaphrodite.

 :?:

While wandering the web looking into this I saw a reference to a book all about the captured tanks in the Great War. I think I need to find it and get it, to discover exactly what's what. This has piqued my interest.

Hi,

I took the photo from this link which has a story if you just scroll down a little:

http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75360&hl=Hanni

If the weather holds I'll take  a photo of my Brigade Games MKIV for Gaza with ruler and some Brigade Games figures this pm.

Best wishes,

Hi Poly,

I did a search on the Great War Forum and came up with this search result:

http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?act=Search&CODE=show&searchid=339d8dd19aaf8d63f493011cd6df184b&search_in=posts&result_type=topics&highlite=%2BBeutepanzer

http://www.landships.freeservers.com/on_beute-mkIV_strasheim.htm

http://multisites.phpnet.org/alaurent/blindes/mk4.html

There will be some duplication of threads but I used two different key words.

Happy Reading 8)

Correction; the line drawings of the tanks are in the Back of Beyond group files-section:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/BackofBeyondDiscussion/files/

And with Disposable I meant Contemptible-Y-group.

as an FYI -

the sponsons on my Mark IV and V tanks rotate. These and the Whippet were designed by Tony Ashcroft.
