Black Army Project - 1933: A Nation Divided - 2nd American Civil War

With the website finally done, Black Army has moved on to the next big project - a sourcebook for the American version of the "Very British Civil War."   

A couple years ago, the fine folks at Solway Crafts & Miniatures gave Doc Twilight their blessing to adapt the setting to a war in the USA in the Depression Era, and Doc has been working on the book ever since then.  The draft of the book is finished and has been sent to a few proofreaders.  It is provisionally titled "1933: A Nation Divided" and Black Army will be putting it up on Kickstarter in late May or June to try to raise the funds for artwork and printing, as well as brand-new miniatures and vehicles for the range!

Last weekend, at Kingdom Con in San Diego, we put on what will be the first scenario for the upcoming book: The Battle of Louisville Armory.  Here are some photos from Kingdom Con and from the playtest the prior week at our local game store:

I will definitely contribute to this, or at least try to, as I love the idea. I want to game my Great-Grandfather's National Guard unit for this.

Also gives me an excuse to make terrain based on my hometown during the Depression.

Yep, just limit the amount of support wpns the different sides would have access to to get more of the feel for the era of a a smaller army.

Haven't tried Bolt Action, although I can see how that would work!  Another option (the ruleset we use most often) is Through the Mud and Blood, which also works well.

Also - we are looking for illustrators for this project!  We need cover art, sketches of units, and propaganda posters.
